HI

Can the same license be used on both, or do you have to purchase another.

If it can be used, how do I do it.

Thanks

Wookster,

Im sorry, but I dont really understand your question.
You can buy digital map shop mapping in 2 licence forms. PC and Mobile, where you get the same amount for credits for both devices, and Mobile Only where you only get credits for a mobile device.

Thanks

Sorry if it wasnt clear.

I already have the license on my PC, and have purchased a smart phone and from time to time would like to use that instead of my normal GPS unit.

So is it possible to either share the existing license with the phone, or migrate it to the phone and then back again

Cheers

Wookster,

As you have Memory-Map on the PC then yes you are able to licence the phone with your existing product.

Thanks

Hi,

Perhaps you should tell us the model of phone that you're trying to use?

Generally, the software license is automatically copied to the phone when you install the MM software using the "Mobile Device" menu option within the PC software. However, Digital Map Shop maps may need to be activated by logging into the License Management system.

Cheers, Alan.

It the HTC Disire (not HD).

I did try that option, but it keeps saying "failed to connect to device"

I have copied the map to the memory card, but nother more can be done.

Thanks for your patience!!

Wookster, am my right in thinking the desire runs the android system, if so memorymap do not currently support that platform yet, though it is a work in progress, (check the the most posted topic on the forum.)

*tell me about it. I also use a HTC Desire (fantastic phone btw, just wish I had waited for the HD version), so I am eagerly awaiting the MM Android app - Thanks Jason*

You might be interested in my reply to another thread here

Edit: It seems my reply linked to above has been deleted. All I will say here is that there is an excellent Android app available for reading existing Memory map files. I use it a lot.
