There's a lot of troubleshooting material which has come on to the forum as people find out to get round problems. But as the number of topics increases the important bits become harder to find or may be spread around several threads. We are already seeing repeat questions being asked. I would recommend that you collate this acquired knowledge into a troubleshooting section.
I agree. Since I posted my comment above about the content of the Help and my other comments on the Wishlist, I've discovered through these forums that some of my wishlist comments weren't valid. For example, I asked for the map to be locked to actual position, when in fact this already happens. However, unlike every other GPS unit I've ever used, this isn't automatic; you have to select it.
This is even in the Quick Start Guide (on one of the picture sheets), the User Guide and in the M-M Mobile Help. The trouble is, the guide tends to be used when the box is first opened and at no other time; after all it is called the Quick
Start Guide. Neither the User Guide or the online Help are indexed, so you have to search using the Mark 1 eyeball. I just didn't find it, because I had no visual clues to tell me what to look for.
If the updates to the User Guide are going to take any significant period of time, I would suggest a full-blown
Indexed FAQ, which pulls out the key points and references the appropriate documentation.
