I have stuck with WinMo mainly because I need Memory Map. There's no way I will ever side with the devil (Apple), so let's get in the 21st century and port MM to Android. You'll be losing a lot of customers otherwise.

And another vote for it - please!!
We've been stuck with rubbishy WinMo devices (c.w. Android) for too long, and don't like/want/need to be on the Apple cart. Having invested in maps which can't be used elsewhere, we need the software ported to a proper mobile OS, please!!!
The only other alternative is to decode the qct files for use in an Android app, and I for one don't feel I should have to go down that route.

oh the pain... just ordered a htc desire as my hp pda replacement then found this thread !!! please add my disappointed ass to the growing clamour for an android version of mm... how much is viewranger anyway ?... come on memory map make that last question unnecessary !!!

I have now started using Viewranger on my nexus One.
I have no plans to come back to MM even if they do release an Android version so I guess they have lost my custom.

Disappointing. You have to question what over innovations will be overlooked if MM fail to recognise the fastest growing smartphone OS on the market.
Will be seriously looking at the alternatives, if only because of MM lack of engagement with this thread.

Add one more to the list please. Am getting an android phone and will be most saddened to leave to other mapping providers, because there is no android software for mm

just ordered a new dell streak

the perfect in car phone/gps handset possibly :)
hope they bring out a waterproof case for mountain biking and nautical
adventures!
oh how i wish u guys at MM would hurry up and make an android version
view ranger will be ok for mountain biking
but the nautical charts are a problem :(

I think what we'd all like from MM is some kind of official statement. Either say to all of us "no how, no way, ain't gonna happen" or say something is coming in the future. Please don't just ignore us.

All I can say is the 4.3" screen on a Droid X would be soooo nice with MM!
