I too would love memory map on android, for my archos 5 IT

guys if u know any1 with an android device who would like memory map
on it ,get them to register here and add there name to this list!

Imagine a touchbook (http://www.alwaysinnovating.com/touchbook/) with android, gps bluetooth on the shoulder, at the bivouac you study the map and the guidebook.
So you have MM on Android and Linux.

It has been reported that Android smartphone sales will outstrip iPhone sales by 2012, (market researcher Informa Telecoms & Media has predicted in a new report.) If MM are not to loose significant market share then they need to act quickly to confirm if they are working on android platform and when it will be ready for use - if they fail to do so a lot of customers will find another product and once they have bought into another product they are unlikely to return.

Please MM instead of making vague statements telling us that "I am unaware of any plans on an Android version at present, however that's not to rule it out entirely as it may be on the cards at some point" is poor customer service and a statement they may wish they had not made.

Another moved from ipaq and wishing to use MM on android. I really think this will be a big OS in the mobile device world and should enable more sales for MM if ported.

Me too. I'd pay good money for MM (with CAA maps) on Android.
If a scheduled release date doesn't appear soon, I have have to assume that MM is not interested in the huge Android market and I will be contacting my friends at the CAA arguing that they should be distributing the UK aviation maps via the Viewranger software as an alternative to MM.

Add my name to the landroid list. I'm a paraglider pilot whos been waiting for a decent size screen device for sat nav, walking and air navigation which will also record flight tracklogs. ( and which I can read without strong reading glasses). There is now an android flight recording app in Beta test and the Dell Streak has been released - so I want to put my Memory map onto the Dell Streak for driving, walking and flying (with the CAA airmaps).

Well Memory Map - are you going to take the plunge into Android now that we have some decent looking convergent technologies here.

What I have not managed to check yet is the quality of the GPS on the Dell Streak - there seems to be no detailed info available.
