I use two versions of Memory Map - v.4.4.3 with OS 2004; and 5.0.5 with Pyrenees maps.

Can anyone tell me, please, if both versions work properly under Windows 7 64 bit?

Memory-Map V5 will run perfectly fine under the Windows 7 environment.
I am afraid we do not support the use of Memory-Map 2004 on Windows 7, nor have we tested it.

Thanks

Thanks for the fast response, Jason.

Have any other users of this forum had experience of running MM v.4 (OS2004) under Windows 7? Or even under Vista?

I am thinking of up-grading to Windows 7 and have been doing a bit of research. Within Windows 7 there is a "XP mode" will this allow MM 2004 to run?

Thanks

Just a word of caution, I have installed W7 and retained the old PC name - now I cannot migrate my licenses across to the PC because "You cannot migrate licenses between different types of platform". I have migrated them across to another XP machine and now my PC name has been "Killed" and won't come back!!!

I have 16 registered licenses locked into the system, can Jason supply the answer?

John.

Amended - 09/03 main stuff fixed by Ronald Heintzelman, just need to sort out Anon entries now. Thanks Ronald.

Hi Jason,
I've just upgraded the laptop on which I run Memory Map from Windows XP to Windows 7. When I try to migrate my licenses I get an error message "cannot migrate between different types of platform ". How do I transfer my licenses to Windows 7 please? For info., during the process of updating to Windows 7 I've changed the name of my laptop.

Thanks.

Does not matter whether you changed the name or not, same problem RE cross platform migration.

Tell the webmaster, (Ronald Heintzelman sorted out mine).

Please email support@memory-map.co.uk with your user id and a copy of this thread so we can look into this for you.

Thanks
