The instances we have found that cause this have either been ISP related or firewall / security related. If one computer connects and a second does not from the same address, I have to think there is something in the security settings which is causing this.

Where are we with this? I am still having exactly the same problem and cannot activate my license on my laptop and hence cannot print.

Are you located in the UK? In your browser, are you able to connect to http://w2.memory-map.com?

I too am having the same problem.
I am in the U.K.
I can connect to http:\\w2.memory-map.com which redirects to http://www.memory-map.com.

I can log in to the License manager using a browser but from the License Manager in MM I get

"A problem occured communicating with the server."

Using European 5.4.2 Build 1089 under Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit.
I have temporarily turned off Windows Firewall.

Hope you can fix this soon so I can migrate my license

If you can manually access the webpage but the software is unable to do so then the issue certainly lies with the PC security settings.

Try turning all User Account Controls off and ensuring that you are signed into the PC using an Administrator account.

Thanks
