I have just downloaded the android app onto my tablet. It installed fine and loaded the base maps. As the tablet does not have built in GPS I bought and got working a COpilot gps. I then bought the UK and Ireland marine charts and downloaded them. The downloaded file will not open and the map does not appear on my tablet when I open up MM?
Apologies up front if this has been covered off but I could not see anything that was relevant.Martin

Did you load the map from the Digital Map Shop? If you copied the maps from a PC, you want to place them in the download / Memory-Map folder created when the app was installed. Also, when you go to MAPS > MORE MAPS > ALL MAPS ON DEVICE, ensure you click MAP TYPES and select all types.

Can you tell me specifically what map you are trying to open? (I assume this is a UK & Ireland marine chart, correct?)

Hi,

I have the same problem. I have transferred the charts into the Download/Memory Map folder but cannot get them to show. I did a download from the digital map shop and that does show - but not the charts I have transferred.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

A bit further work and I think I have found the solution.... I moved my local charts into the same folder as that which the partial chart downloaded from the digital map store had been placed into by the app, and then rebooted the device to ensure that the app was starting from cold. My own charts were then shown. I know just need to find my account password etc to see them properly on the screen!

Hi, how did you move the files as all my maps just appear in the downloaded folder?

If you go to MAPS > MORE MAPS > DIGITAL MAP SHOP and select the map again, does it load from the server?
