I am looking to use the Android app as a moving map while flying using the half-mil CAA maps and use them on my PC for flight planning.
Reading various aviation forums there seems to be a consensus that Memory-map is expensive.
As the CAA maps are only £20, which I don't consider expensive, what other costs are involved?

I am not currently a user but have downloaded the free Android app.

If you are purchasing the maps from the Digital Map Shop (DMS), you should not have to purchase anything else.
