Jason,
I too sent you an email (21st March 2012) to which I received no reply.
I've sent you another today. The content of todays email is copied below. The email has the 'route' attached.
It has become apparent through these forums that there seems to be a problem with the system that converts the original OS mapping to the qct files we use in the Memory Map software.
Presumably the original OS mapping is very accurate (errors <1m?) and is not responsible for the errors that we are finding with the qct maps (Sometimes over 15m).

(sent at 1046, 17 April 2012, Subject: Lake District - calibration route file attached)
-------------------------------
I've created a Memory Map route you can use to easily check the map calibration of the Lake District National Park. It is attached.
The route zig zags over every part of the park and every waypoint has a nice round grid reference that should place it exactly on a grid line intersection. Overlaying it on the OS 1:25k Lake District map (edition 2007 revision 2), none of the waypoints line up with grid line intersections. The map calibration error is worst in a West to East direction. On the west side of the park the waypoints appear about 18m west of where they should be. On the east side of the park they are about 14m west of where they should be.
A datum shift of 5m N and 16m E will line up the map much better with the waypoints.-------------------------------
