First, the overlays must be saved on the PC as a GPX file. Then, put the GPX file into the DOWNLOAD / MEMORY-MAP folder on your Android (usually found in the "external storage" area). Do not put in a subfolder within the Memory-Map folder.

It would be nice to be able to install the app on and run it from the external SD card too.

Richard, on my htc flyer tablet the extension for the sd card is ext_sd so can you add that to the list of locations for the APP to look at for
the maps please mate.
I'll then re-load the updated App and check all is ok.
Many thanks and regards
Tom

Hi, unfortunately I have had no reply to my request that you see above, or to the direct request I sent by filling in the contact form on the Memory Map site about my problem.

Could someone at Memory Map at least please acknowledge the fact they have seen my request for the ext_sd be added to the APP, so that I can access my sd card mounted in my HTC tablet.
Tom

Tom,

Thanks for your input. The ext_sd path has been added for the next build. Unfortunately, this did not make it into the build #370 which has just been released, but it will be in the next one.

Richard.

Do we have a rough ETA for the next release?? I too have an HTC Flyer with a 32GB external SD card and having just lashed out for a license to the full GB OS Landranger I'd rather not have to put the 2.2GB of data on the internal card :)

I got the Android app to create its own 'Mark'. It saved the mark in Download/Memory-Map as expected. When I put .gpx files in that directory myself (even a renamed copy of a .gpx that the app made), they are not seen by the App when I choose the 'Overlay' button. The App can see the Mark that the app created itself.

Suggestions ?

I kept the file naming capitalisation and also tried updating the name inside the .gpx so that it matched the file name.

From the main screen, tap Menu, Overlays, then tap Menu again, and "Load Saved Data".
