When you get the message asking to activate the license, exactly what resource does it say it is activating?

I have the same problem. I have both 1-50k and 1-25k maps on the PC and have transferred a number over to my iPhone and iPad.

They show up on the list of maps on the devices but when I try to view them I am asked to log in. On the iPad 1 it usually crashes when I try to log in and on the iPhone it just says it is activating but does nothing.

This is really annoying. These all worked fine before the upgrade and still work fine on the PC

MagiKelly,

Can you tell us exactly what maps you have that are causing this issue?

Thanks

explorer341_greenock_largs_and_millport

Is one but it is the same with all of the explorer maps I have, on both the iPad and iPhone. My OS 1:50k maps are all fine.

I tried removing all my explorer maps from the iPhone and then adding them back but with the same issue. When I try to access the map I get the message

Activating the resource
Import Maps

Activation rights :
In your account none
Needed now: 1 time

Sorry! It is no longer possible to buy resources through this app.

MagiKelly,

Thats not a map that Memory-Map have supplied and as such is a 3rd party map.
Memory-Map have never supplied OS 1:25K map data with the sheet number information, as the data is not supplied to us in this fashion.

In order to use this mapping you will need to purchase the Import Maps licence.
You can purchase this via the online account interface accessed via www.memory-map.co.uk/activate

Thanks

I don't see the Import Maps Licence on the link and having to purchase anything extra in entirely unacceptable. I paid £20 for this app. I was sold it with the functionality to view these maps and for the last year or so this is what I have done.

You removed this functionality without my premission and as such I am either due compensation or a fix to restore the functionality I paid for and have had up till this so called upgrade.

The new app should allow all legally purchased maps without the need for additional licenses. The old version of the app had a bug that allowed use of some maps not acquired from Memory-Map.

I am unaware of any doubts about the legality of these maps. I paid for them and tThey also work perfectly well on my PC.

And if it was a bug why are you offering a paid workaround? The facts of the matter seem to be that I can still use these maps but only by paying more money. In other words you have stripped out functionality and are allowig it back for an extra charge. I have already paid for and used this functionality and want it back.
