Can anybody tell me if there is a way of downloading a small section of a marine map (approx 20km x20Km) without having to buy all of the UK.

In MM on your PC, zoom in to the area you are interested in & click on Digital Map Shop in the toolbar. You should see a list of all the maps available at that location.

You can narrow it down further by drawing an enclosed route, right click on the route & select Digital Map Shop. MM will download only those sections of the map that your route encloses or passes through.

The marine charts are only supplied as a single product for £50.
This means that you would get over 800 charts for UK and Ireland.

Is it possible to download all Marine maps in one go? I keep having to move the screen to a new area, then check map store for available maps then download. Very tedious if there are 800 to download.

If i zoom out a bit, it shows the maps I have already downloaded and as the downloads tend to fail frequently there is no way to know what i have downloaded so I just have to start gain (no i am not going to look in my maps folder and see what i have downloaded, and delect the other 750 maps manually)

I'm beginning to think I should have just ordered a DVD rather than buy the subscription through Mapstore. Its the same price and you get a dics posted to you.

Please email support@memory-map.co.uk with a copy of this topic. I can then supply you with the server address that you can use to download every chart manually rather than using Memory-Map (you still have to do it one at a time, but will be much quicker)

Is marine map works as google maps distance calculator? I am using google maps distance calculator to measure distance. Is marine map calculates distance? I want to know briefly about Marine Maps. Please tell me about this.

The marine charts would allow you to measure distances between points or for a given route.

I have now down loaded a small area of Marine map onto my PC and successfully activated it,have transfered it to my ADV 3500 but cannot activate it,it is asking for a reistration No.which i have not got as i puchased it on line from Memory Map.
Think i should have purchased it as a CD.

Any ideas,?

It certainly should not be asking for a serial number to activate the chart on the ADV3500 as the product contains activations for both PC and Mobile Device.

As such please email support@memory-map.co.uk with a description of the issue and your user id
