I've said some of this elsewhere but maybe there's a need for a consolidated wishlist, so perhaps others will chip in.

1) Ability to choose map folder location
2) A scale ruler onscreen
3) Transparency of dropdown tab
4) A measure distance tool
5) A centre screen cursor (so we can see where we're Marking)

Thanks for the app!
David

It would be nice if the Mobile was seen as a device by the PC then uploading walks would be easier.

The route profile function from the old windows mobile application. nice to see how far you've gone and how high you've climbed!

Did you mean the maps? Some versions of Android allow you to move installed apps to the SD card (or the media area) by going to SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > MANAGE APPLICATIONS, selecting the app, and clicking the appropriate button in the STORAGE area.

The app and associated data, however, are quite insignificant in size, so I do not see a benefit to this.

I'll second Obscure David's suggestions, especially the on-screen scale. I get very confused about whether I'm looking at 1km, 10km or 100km as I zoom back and forth from my 250,000 Geoscience Australia map to the Hema maps which have much better labelling/fonts.

The other feature I'd kill for is... a variable-length velocity arrow (yes, I admit, I have peeked at the iOS app! :) ). Even just a 1/2/3/4/5/10 tap select would be great; a sliding scale is not necessary. It's hard to see the end of the arrow an have a reasonable scale when I'm flying along at 480kts.

Other nice-to-haves would be:

- Alphabetical sorting of the "Load Saved Data" screen.
- Separate folders for Marks/Waypoints, Routes and Tracks, so when I'm looking for a saved waypoint and I hit "Load Saved Data", only the saved waypoints get displayed.

I absolutely love MM; my most-used app, and I prefer using it (with UBD) to Google Maps. Keep up the great work!

Lastly, perhaps this should be a sticky so others can chime in easily?

I use MM android for offroad 4WD navigation on a samsung galaxy tab 7.7 and samsung galaxy SII phone. Trip planning on MM PC is ok (but nowhere near as comprehensive as oziexplorer). Locating your position on android app is good. However, navigation aids along routes and to waypoints in the android app is still lacking in my opinion. For example:

I would like to see an audible warning feature when approaching within X metres of the imminent waypoint.

I would like to see better navigation cues to the next waypoint upon reaching the imminent waypoint. For example at a glance, I would like to have the following information available: "once reaching the imminent waypoint WP005 in 300 metres, bear left heading 300 degrees to WP006 in 5km".

I would like to be able to turn on and off waypoint labels. I can insert labels and display them on MM PC, but the labels do not display on android app.

I have said this before, but I find the data panel takes up too much screen realestate and is really clunky. Please take a cue from oziexplorer android app.

I find managing overlays too cumbersome. I would like to be able to be able to tap on a waypoint, track or route and choose whether to display it or hide it directly on the map screen.

Lastly, for now, It would be great if the app can convert a track into a route like MMPC does so that I can easily navigate back along a track with all of the navigation aids described above.

Kind regards

Ability to set 'route up' rather than 'north up'.
