According to the help topic, i should be able to merge 2 or more charts to form one.

Quote:
To merge maps, first open the map that covers the largest part of your area of interest. You can start merging from any map, but the original one will retain slightly better image quality than the ones you merge with it. Move the cursor off the edge of the map in the area of interest, right click and select Merge Map. The popup menu shows a list of maps at similar scale that can be merged. Select one of them, and a the merge process is started. In a few seconds (depending on the size of the map files) the merged result is displayed. You can continue merging other maps to cover your area of interest.

In the Merge Map menu, there is an Anti-alias option. This enhances the quality of the merged result, at the expense of a larger file size. By default this is turned off, to favor small size and performance. If you intend to use the maps on a PDA, we recommend you leave it off. If you are using a high-powered computer and disk space is not a problem, it does give a slightly better-looking result. When Anti-alias is enabled, it is applied whenever you merge a map. It does not affect maps you have already merged.

Unfortunatley i cannot merge more than 2 maps, have i wasted my money buying this or is there something wrong?

Cheers

Can you tell me what charts you are merging? Ensure that the charts are roughly the same scale. You cannot merge a 1:100k scale chart with a 1:10k scale chart.

Hi,

Note that you cannot merge a "merged" map onto another. You have to keep adding "new" maps onto that already merged. There are a few bugs/odditities but it generally can be made to work eventually.

If you have a large numbrer of maps to merge, selecting them in the map list and using the Merge button there can be quicker (but the results may be even less predictable).

Cheers, Alan.

I looked at those charts and some were flagged in the header file as "merged". This would prevent them from merging again. I have corrected this (in the 2011 charts). If you delete the charts and download again, you should be able to merge with no problem. (Were these 2011 charts?)

The best way to merge those charts would be to download the charts you want. Sort them in the map list. (I would sort by scale.) Then, select all the charts you want to merge and press the MERGE button. This will merge them all in one go (as Alan mentioned).

Can you tell me specifically what charts you are trying to merge?
