How do I set the correct date and time on my 2800. Not critical but it would be useful to have the dates on the tracks ( overlays ) that I save.

Hi,

AFAIK MM always gives individual tracks the default "Track" filename which you can edit to something more meaningful like date/time (yes, auto-naming has been on the "wishlist" for more years than I can remember).

However, if you save/backup all your overlay data, then that file should be "timestamped" with current date/time (set automatically from the satellites?).

Cheers, Alan.

Thanks, but my saved tracks do not have the date upon which they were created. It looks like a default date in 2010 !!!

Are you looking at the date/time created of a saved overlay file on the 2800?
If so, this is more or less random (known bug).

However, the data points contained within the file will be correct.
To confirm, load a track from the 2800 into Mmap and save it as a .gpx type file on your PC.
Then open the .gpx file with notepad and check the dates within it.
