I used iTunes to copy the map files to the app / iPad . No problem viewing my maps that I have purchased with or without Internet connection. Of course once they have even licensed.

[quote="richardsstephens"]If you have purchased a map and activated it on your PC, you still have to activate it on your iOS device. Sign in to the same account you use on your PC, and there will be a button to Activate the map. If it is a DMS selections map, you have to select the area your want to activate. It does not automatically know what area you activated on the PC.

So I can't just download a whole 1:25k map onto my iPad?

Hi There,

I'm a bit confused, I have updated the iPhone app and now cannot view my maps it keeps telling me i need a Map Import License but can't buy this through the app.

Why do I only now need a license to import the maps onto my iPhone? they were working fine before and I don't see why i should have to pay again to use the same maps after spending £20 for the app

It just got worse! I am now being asked to sign in every time I open the app, and when I click cancel I get a blank screen. When I click the folder to look at map list it takes me right out of the app!

All of our software on all operating systems requires the import maps license to view a third party map. This is something we have to do to protect the rights of the third party map publisher, because our software converts the map from the publishers format (which may be encrypted) to the qct map format.

However, anyone who has a licensed copy of the PC software needed to import the third party map already has the mobile device license to go with it. All you need to do is sign in to your account and activate it.

Regrettably, the original versions of the iphone app did not enforce the import map license, but now it does. Legitimate users of our PC software with third party maps should not be inconvenienced at all.

on the PC i have import 3rd party license full/no expiry, checked online and can see that it was activated for my PC "Thu Mar 5 2009 Activated Import Maps", but how do i enable the license on the iphone / ipad as they report no license?

my 3rd party maps are mine shaft locations i have created myself. all other memory-map maps work fine with the new version.

Thanks

If you have activated on the PC, you should also have activations for mobile devices. It looks like your iPhone and iPad may be on different accounts than your PC, however. You would need to use the same account you used on the PC to activate this feature on the mobile device.

I'm trying to download the app for iPad, specifically to run the CAA aviation maps. Whenever I try to download the app iTunes replies it is not available in the UK.

What is the present situation, please?

If it is available, then please give a link to the best way of downloading it, for using the MM website only gets the above response. Haven't bought the maps, yet, as waiting to get the app.

Thanks

If you search for memory-map, it should show the app in the UK store. (I just checked and it showed it listed.)
