R4MARK,

Can you return the 2 disks to us, and we will swap them out for you.
Just send them in a jiffy bag with a covering letter.

Thanks

Thanks, I will return them. Just to check, There are 3 discs in total, you just want me to return the two mentioned. Also, will the registration details etc change? Address I will send to is Aldermaston.

Regards

Mark

Yes, just return the 2 disks that are not working, also yes the Aldermaston address is the correct one.
Registration details will not change.

Thanks

The replacement discs arrived back this morning.

When I try to load them now I am directed to the digital map shop to download the maps. I assume this is the intention. However on arrival there when I enter the serial number I get the following message - "The old style serial number is invalid, or has already been converted to a new style license. To use the license you must sign into the account into which the serial number was converted".

I migrated the licences etc, and the other maps have loaded OK. I still cannot load these maps, What could be the problem?

Can you tell me exactly what it says on the front of each disk?

Thanks

The discs sent are as follows;
V5 Provence - Cote D'Azure - Mediterranean - Region B
========= (same text in French) ========
IGN Top 25

Map CD
Disc 1

Text about the copyright etc

At the bottom of the CD a number MMV5/IGN/SE/MB753/C3B_1

The second disc is identical except it reads "Disc 2" and the mumber at the bottom is MMV5/IGN/SE/MB754/C3B2

These certainly are not Digital Map Shop disks, so you should not be prompted to download mapping from our server via the Digital Map Shop system.
To be honest it may well be worth completely removing the Memory-Map software from the PC and then starting from scratch with the IGN Installer disk and replacement disks you were sent.
Please email support@memory-map.co.uk with a copy of this topic, stating what operating system your PC is running.

Thanks

I had the same problem. Ordered a DMS disk, installed it, but no maps are visible in the map list.
Copying maps to C drive fixed the problem.
Memory Map, this is a poor introduction to your software product - having to spend an hour hunting the forum boards is not a great start. It should work out of the box. At the very least you should be putting this in the instructions, if you cannot fix it to read the CD....
