I am also having trouble seeing my Classic Maps using Memory Maps's Android app. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (Android 4.0.4) and have put the following files:
os50_gb.mmi
os50_gb.qed
os50_gb.qct
in
Computer\GT-I9300\Phone\Download\Memory-Map\DMS\OS50 (as seen from Explorer on the PC).

If I run the app and go to Maps it is not listed (only OS 250K Road Atlas). If I press 'More Maps' -> 'All Maps on Device' then I still still see the same single OS 250 K map in the list.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for any help,

Paul

Was the folder already there, or did you create it? Did you click MAP TYPES and check all boxes?

paul_hh,

Move the .QCT, .QED, and .MMI from the OS50 folder into the Memory-Map folder.
Does the app then see the maps?

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestions. The problem was that 'Land' had not been selected under 'Map Types'.

Not sure if I've quite understood the licensing rules. I recently bought a Memory Map GPS with the complete GB 1:50,000 Landranger maps, which I've also installed on my PC. It looks as if technically I can copy the maps to my Android phone and they should work.

I can't quite work out whether this is covered under the licence terms or not. Is it okay, or do I need to re-purchase the maps I use on the mobile phone?

- Thanks.

The licence is usually for use on 5 devices simultaneously. If you log in to your MM account through help, licence management, online info & click on history, you will see how many activations you have left for OS 1:50k Landranger.
