can anyone tell me why i have a small section of pixeled area in the middle of my os explorer 1.25 map i bought from map shop?
The large enclosed are of map i bought is fine and clear to read everywhere apart from this like encryped bit right where my route is planned. Also i may add its perfect on the pc on both 1.25 and 1.50 scale but on my adventurer all around this fuzzy patch is perfect on 1.25 and when i switch to 1.50 my routes clear to see. Just about tried everything incuding trying it without the route marked on adding a bigger area of map around it, deleting it and starting again but nothing seems to get rid of this fuzzy pixeled bit.

please anyone got any ideas because i am pulling my hair out.

Also i posted a message earlier saying i couldnt get the 1.25 maps on my adventurer well i realised it was this bit of map around guisburn forest that was causing it because soon as i tried enclosing another area of map everything works fine everytime apart from this part in question. could it be because i have tried to download it so many time or did i do something wrong initially? Because at the beginning i just enclosed the forest and when it didn,t work i circled it with a much larger area and it sems to be the area i origanally circled thats pixeled.

Andy

Do I understand that you have deleted the map and reloaded with the same result? If you zoom in and out in the pixelated section, does the image change?

If you go to MAP > DIGITAL MAP SHOP > ACTIVATE VISIBLE MAP, does this change anything? Can you tell me roughly the location in question?

the centre of the pixeled area is sd 75088 - 57622 yes tried loading visible map portion and its fine on the pc in both 1.50 scale and 1.25 scale but on the adventurer it is only fine on 1.50, but on 1.25 it is pixeled at this grid reference covering the whole forest area but every other part of the visible portion is clear on both scales to the outside edge of the area i purchased.

just done the activate visible portion again still just the same. given up on it now i will just use the 1.50 scale for this ride. But i would be interested to know whats going on. please tell me if i delete all my 1.25 maps from my pc do i loose credits when i reload them?

ps could you also tell me why my battery goes flat after just 2 days of not using it from fully charged. i charged it up fully last nite then this morning i plugged it in and it took 35 mins before the green light came on.
i always make sure it is turned off, but after 2 or 3 days it is totally flat. also the hour glass hangs around and it seems to freeze and slow to scroll sometimes , not low on memory because i have no routes stored in user data.

stumpy44,

If you download exactly the same area as what was deleted, he DMS system will not charge any credit, however any additional area will be charged.

Can you tell us exactly how your are storing your Adventurer unit?

Thanks

iam storing it in the case, and storing my routes on the pc, also i only transfer routes across onto the Adventurer when i need one just to keep the memory free. as you probably know by my credits i have loaded 1.25 map sections on plenty of times before and have no problem whatsoever & find it easy to do but still no matter what i do this area of map over gisburn forest remains pixeled on the adventurer only

stumpy44,

Thats certainly odd, but I cannot think of anything off hand that would cause just that one area to be encrypted in 1:25K mapping.
Could you please email support@memory-map with a description of this so we can organise for the MicroSD card to be sent to us for testing.

Thanks
