Memory-Map supports both Garmin and Magellan protocols for the transfer of waypoints, routes and track logs. Any GPS can be used for real-time positioning using the standard NMEA 0183 protocol.

Newer Garmin GPS units such as the Colorado, Oregon and Edge 650/750 require you to be using the latest version of Memory-Map. To check what version you have and see what the latest version currently is click the menu option Web > Check for Updates in your software.

Due to limitation of the Edge 650/750 hardware, Memory-Map is unable to send routes to the device for off-road use (if you are cycling on-road you should be fine). The workaround is to save the route in Memory-Map as a GPX file, import it into Garmin's Mapsource software and then send to the GPS from there.
