The other day I was adding new sections of my OS1940 mapping allowance on the iPad and in the area around Weymouth the map became corrrupted and an area was repeated 3 times. I could not see how to delete part of the map and try again.

The only option I could see was to delete the map and then browse around again adding the areas again. This solved the problem but was rather a pain in the neck as it takes some time to scroll around the country.

I noticed Memory Map data is stored under iCloud but I disabled it as it was taking up a huge amount of my 5 Gb allowance - a good 3Gb. Is it storing a copy of all my maps in iCloud. I presume in theory I could try and restore any corrupted maps via iCloud. With DMS maps becoming the preferred way to get your mapping the need to avoid this corruption and ways round it (like deleting/restoring chunks) would seem useful...

Go to the map folder. Click on the blue arrow next to the map you want. Now, click BULK DOWNLOAD and then DOWNLOAD ALL. This will download all map sections you have already activated.

We are currently looking at ways to best handle the iCloud storage. Ideas can be sent to suggestions@memory-map.com.
