OK, now this is quite strange. I have an Adventurer 2800 which came with the CD "Britain's National Parks", and also came with the SD card pre-loaded also containing the national parks 1:50k maps. I've been using it for some time, but have only just noticed something odd.

On my PC software, I do *not* have any maps for the Cotswolds nor for Ben Nevis and Glencoe! I *do* however have both of these parks on my Adventurer 2800 (as it came pre-loaded). I have checked on the CD which came with the Adventurer 2800, and the "os50" folder does indeed *not* contain maps for the Cotswolds or for Ben Nevis and Glencoe, but it contains all the others.

The CD is labelled "Britain's National Parks -- Adventurer 2800", with the code "MMV5/ADV/2800/MB1019/C" at the bottom.

Am I going completely mad? Why are these two parks not on my "National Parks" CD but *are* on the GPS itself, and how can I fix this??

Hey, I'd never noticed, but mine's exactly the same! I don't have the Cotswolds and I don't have Ben Nevis! On my PC. They are there on the Adventurer 2800 -- both of them appear in the map list. But not on the PC!

It took me a while to find my CD, but when I found it, sure enough, there is no Cotswold or Ben Nevis map on there. My CD seems to be pretty much the same one as yours -- but boy I had to put my strong spectacles on to read that code number from the bottom!!

I do walk in the Cotswolds quite a lot, but I never noticed the missing maps because I subsequently bought the entire Regions 2 and 4 1:50k maps, so that covers the Cotswolds anyway. It's still a bit odd that they're missing though. And I'd quite like to get Ben Nevis in there, as I might well use that sometime.

Is this a general problem then? Two national parks missing from the CD? Can we fix that?

Since these maps are on the Adventurer 2800 (evidently came on the SD card), can I copy the maps from the Adv to my PC? What's the best way to do that? I've transferred maps the other way (PC->Adv) but not back again...

AFAIK the Adventurer maps are locked to the SD card (and the "Mobile" software) so can't be used on a PC.
