Route Truncated?

Sending a route from my pc to EtrexH, I sometimes get the statement on the Etrex "Route Truncated"! Can anyone tell me what this means please?

Yes, it means the route is too long for the device.
My old etrex vista has a maximum of 125 waypoints per route - so if I want more, I have to split the route into segments.

OK, many thanks. Still strange. This route only has 22 waypoints. And, when I look on the Etrex, it has all the waypoints on there.

Are you sending a single route? It is possible one of the other limits is being exceeded. (Max of 20 routes. Max of 500 total waypoints.) I am not certain, but this may give the same message.

No. Just one route with 20 odd waypoints. But by the time it gets to the Etrex there are over 100 waypoints because of duplication.
