Hi , I am sure this should be easy but the method passes me by. Whilst using the 3500, how can I split part of a track and delete the section which is not required?

Example, I drove to a location using the 3500 to commence a walk, The walk was duly completed, but the track remained as one. I used the SPLIT function and tried to delete the unwanted section - but the whole lot went. Certainly there is a warning, "do you wish to delete track? but it does not indicate which section. Unlike a pc, there is no UNDO once it has gone.

I am sure I am missing something on technique here but can anyone suggest an answer?

Many thanks

GLN

Hi,

AFAIK just tap-and-hold on a trackpoint and select the split option. Then tap-and-hold on the section you want to delete and in Properties change the colour (to check if it's actually what you want to delete). Then you can delete it safely. ;) If in doubt use the save backup facility first.

Cheers, Alan.
