Firstly - I am a newbie and this is my first ever mobile phone!

I have just installed App on a T Mobile Rapport phone - all appears OK.

I have then copied my 2012 map files (whole of GB) from my PC to this device. When I search for a place it asks me to "activate". When I look at the "Maps At This Location" I have three items listed two of which are as follows:-

OS 1:50K Great Britain
OS 1:50k Landranger 2012

When I search for a place that I have not "viewed" before I always get the "activate" option. At this point if I select the "Maps" and the first of the two listed above it shows correctly. My questions are as follows:

1) Have I done something wrong?
2) If I have not done something wrong how do I get the app to default to my maps without having to select the right one via the maps at this location functionality?

Any help or pointers would be good.

The whole of the UK Landranger maps comes in two "flavors". One is the whole of the UK (which you purchased), and the other is the download version (purchased per sqkm). It looks like you are loading the download version instead of the "whole" map. If you go to MAPS > MORE MAPS > ALL MAPS ON DEVICE, do you see a Landranger map listed with GB in the name? This should be the whole UK map.

The exact wordings (and order of appearance) are as follows:-

OS 1:50k Great Britain
OS 250k Road Atlas 2012
OS 50k Landranger 2012

The problem arises when I use the search facility (for a place name) and then, if it is not in an area I have been viewing before, it prompts for 'activate'. Are there different gazeteers for each of the map sets?

If you purchased the whole of the UK on disc, the map would not require activation by area (the license covers the whole map). I show that you originally activated parts of the download map and have now activated the "whole map". Do you see this listed separately now?

Sorry but I do not understand what you are asking? I had three items listed as previously posted and in the order posted.

In the interim and due to newbie curiosity! I took a decision to delete the "OS 50k Landranger 2012" item from the list held within the "Maps At This Location" functionality. This seems to have solved the activation problem.

I hope that it has not however created other problems that I do not know about!
