Hello,

I am having difficulties setting up my Archos 80 G9 tablet running Android 4.0.3 with Memory Map.
I have bought a Memory Map package containing 5 map licenses which I have successfully installed on my computer.
I have also installed the Android application on my tablet which is working fine.

However, transferring maps and licensing them is incredibly difficult.
With my tablet plugged in via USB, the Memory Maps program on my computer is unable to detect the device for activation, saying: "Failed to connect to device". In addition, activating a specific map on the MicroSD card I wish to keep the maps on returns the error: "The card is not set up for license management. Please insert the card into the Mobile Device..." etc.

I have followed these instructions, but I am fairly certain that the application is unable to use the SD card as external storage. I have the QC3 map file I wish to use placed on the SD card under /Downloads/Memory-Map as advised by someone having a similar issue in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=5062

How can I transfer my maps to my Android tablet whilst retaining a license for the entire map without having to activate each individual chunk?

Thanks,
Paul.

Do you have the QCT file as well? All QC3 files have an associated QCT file and both must be present in the folder.

Please send an email to support@memory-map.com with your user ID or the email used to create the account and I will have a look at this.

Do you have "external memory" on your device? This is typically part of internal memory, but separate from the "main" memory. If you do, do you have a Download/Memory-Map folder on that section of memory?
