Firstly can I say well done for getting the app onto Android - it's looking and working great so far :)

Two things I have noticed:

1) It is possible to press the Activate button multiple times if the Activation/Buy Map menu is taking a while to show. You then eventually end up with 3 or 4 pop-up menus, which gets confusing when you dismiss one only to see another. Hopefully you can disable the Activate button while waiting for the Activation menu to show - this should prevent this from happening.

2) I'm not sure if this is a 'feature', but it's pretty annoying. There seems to be some kind of 'momentum' built into the dragging and zooming features. If I quickly drag the map in one direction, it carries on moving after I lift my finger off the screen. This makes it hard to accurately and quickly position the map on screen. Zooming in and out with a pinch action does the same - the zoom slowly tails off after your fingers have left the screen. If this is indeed a feature, it would be appreciated if you could add an option to disable this, as it's not something I'm used to seeing on any of the other GPS apps I have.

Other than this, I really like the app so far - especially the speed of the app - much quicker than competitor's apps. Do you have a date for releasing the app to the Android Market? I can't see it there at the moment.

Thank you for the feedback.

1) We are looking into this to prevent the issue.

2) The scroll is intended to speed up scrolling for people who are trying to scroll over large areas and was actually asked for in previous platforms. We could certainly look at putting in an option to select this ability. As for zooming, although you can view any zoom level while you have your fingers on the screen, the default zoom levels are factors of two and when you release, the app will "snap" to one of those levels (either in or out depending on which is closer).

Thank you for the quick reply, glad to help :)

Regarding the scrolling I can see this might be useful in some scenarios but I think an option to disable it would be preferable, if this is possible. The current behaviour deviates from what I would normally expect in an Android app.

Thanks for the clarification on the zooming behaviour - is there any reason why this needs to jump in factors of two? Can it not stick with the chosen zoom factor when pinching to zoom in/out? It feels a little clunky having it change zoom factors after you think you've got what you need on the screen. Again, having this as an adjustable option might also be the way of keeping everyone happy - I know different people prefer different behaviours :)

One further bug I have noticed is that if you select the setting 'Record track while app is backgrounded', then the GPS will stay on when the app is backgrounded *regardless* of whether a track is being recorded or not.

So if I just start the app, never try to get a GPS fix, then background the app, the GPS will continue to try to get a lock.

Disabling this option fixes the issue. Hope this makes sense!

Thanks again. Killing the app closes the GPS as well, but exiting the app should do the same.
