I had to do a factory reset on my phone and now all activated map areas have gone. Surely I don't have to pay to re-activate them?

Hey

You dont need to purchase them again:

Quote:
If you downloaded maps via Digital Map Shop you will not need to purchase or use any credit to re-download your maps, provided you download the same areas as you had before. If you try to download an area you did not have before then you will be asked to purchase and activate the area first.

So just download the areas you had before and you will be good to go.

Just had a similar experience myself. I backed up the Memory map folder but it's not seeing any of the activated areas from my 1st install!

I have tried this but areas are not re-activated. It is asking me to activate again which is costing me money from my account!

Please help!

Migrate the license from GT-S6102 (first used May 28 2012) to GT-S6102 (first used Jul 21 2012) and you should see your previously activated sections again.

Not sure what you mean there. The chunks status shows red and asks me to download the areas again. If i press the bulk download. it says 'under construction' .

There is no 'activate all option'.

Ah! Got it now. Log in to your account (on PC) go to license management and then use the migrate option. Then log in on mobile device and previously activated areas are available again.

Easy when you know how!

Great! Worked for me too. So my android update caused the software to see a new phone and therefore a new licence was needed. the only way to get the licence to migrate is via the licence management section of the website once youv'e logged into you acc. profile.

phew! I was worried there for a while... and sorry for butting in on you post Hugh.
