Well, there's the report for you. :-)

(The Orange San Francisco is the ZTE Blade by another name, but note that I have rooted my phone and installed Cyanogenmod on it, thereby invalidating the warranty which has expired anyway. I think this would not work with the stock firmware as it is Eclair (2.1) and I think you said your app requires 2.2 minimum.)

This is great, because I can now have a moving-map display in the cockpit of the aeroplanes I fly, finally at a reasonable price. It scrolls and zooms at a good rate.

Before this, the minimum I would have to pay for a moving map display unit would have been £70, and many such devices cost hundreds. I was always put off by that because I have a phone that can be used for the purpose and I was prepared to wait until software was around for it. £20 is not a bad price to pay at all for this facility!

By the way, it is easier to download the ZIP file of the APK directly on the phone, click through to it using Astro file navigator, open the application management tool and install it directly. That way, you don't need to mess around with downloading to the PC and transferring it onto the memory card of the phone.

This is fantastic! Thanks.

Thanks for the report. I, too, found that my Razr was able to open the zipped file and install from the Files app without any additional messing around.
