I have been using Memory Map for years on PC, Windows Mobile and Android and have a huge collection of bought maps and maps which I have created and calibrated. Up until now I have been using That Programme whose name cannot be spoken on my Android phone but have now decided to buy a Nexus 7 for mapping use. The Memory Map Andoid App looks great on a 7 in Tablet, and had very few crashes so far!
I decided to buy both the import 3rd party and classic compatability licences, and I did this via my Nexus, a total of £30. -----Nothing happened.
I still have the demo licences on my Nexus. I think that the import licence may have gone onto my phone (LT15i) but I don't know what happened to my classic licence.
I want both licences on my Nexus and I have paid for them - what do I have to do?

I'm not sure I am best placed to answer this but ...

... have you logged in to your MM account to see what it says? http://w2.memory-map.com/login.htm

... have you searched the forum? There is a sub-forum on Registration and Licencing which might help.

Thanks, when I looked at my profile, it says that I have the two licences, and that they will work automatically on Android or download a file for windows.

I will wait for an official answer from MM.

This is what I did:
On your N7 log out of MM, exit MM, restart MM and then log back in again....Licences were then shown correctly.

Not sure if exiting and re-starting was actually necessary but it's what I did.

The import map licence has sorted itself out. It seems that you have to wait until the 5 day demo licence you get on a new install, has expired before you can activate the bought licence.

I have to wait 25 days to see if I get my classic licence when that demo expires.

Those were the days; when you bought your maps on a CD, put them on your computer and transferred bits to your mobile device or GPS at the press of a button including routes and tracks.

Someone just thought up a really complicated system and then changed it as they go along to make it more and more complicated, as can be seen in the posts in these fora with people discovering for themselves how bits of the system work, and then answering other peoples queries.

If you have a temporary demo license, you can tap it in the "Show Licenses" page (Settings > Map Licenses > Show Licenses), and it will prompt you to Activate the full license, or to buy it if you have not already purchased it.
