Unlike some comments and reviews I've read, I Like this App...!

It installed easily and I have had no trouble uploading the existing v5 map regions I had previously purchased stored on my PC via Wi-Fi. It all works reasonably well and quite responsive so far and, I'm sure it will only get better with future updates.

However, I have tracks and routes stored on my PC as map overlays (.mmo files) which I would like to transfer over to my iPhone and view in the Memory-Map App like I can on my old Windows based PDA. The App appears to have the facility to do this by loading such data via Wi-Fi through the Tracks menu however, when I attempt to do just that it states 'The file........ is not a recognized type and has been deleted'.

This is an important feature to me and I welcome your help with a resolution.

Using Memory-Map on the PC, save your overlay data using the GPX (GPS exchange) file type. Then upload via Wifi as you describe.

I noticed Laura wrote in the sticky topic that it supports mmo, but that is incorrect.

I create tracks and routes on my PC and want to transfer them onto my iPhone. Have experienced the same problems as storing them as (.mmo files) and getting the same error message. How do you save the data overlay info as a GPX (GPS exchange) file type then ?

Cheers Russell

Assuming you have the latest release of the Memory-Map PC software (v 5.4.2), select your overlay, right-click, Save As, then in the "Save as type" control at the bottom of the dialog, select GPS exchange (*.GPX).
