I have bought a memory-map of showdonia (pccd) is there anyway of getting to use this on iPad or iPhone 3Gs.

The serial number with the disc should give you activations for both PC and mobile. This should allow you to activate on the iPad or iPhone. (If you are speaking of the 3500 sqkm package, realize that this is 3500 sqkm total between the mobile devices.)
