Torchy, on the PC, open the map and go to MAP > EDIT MAP PROPERTIES. What does it show in the COPYRIGHT field? If this is blank (which seems to be the case for most problem maps), they were not produced or sold by Memory-Map (even though they may have been distributed with a copy of our software).
Ok Thanks for the reply, there is nothing in the field, but when I look in "about" it says Memory Map OS Edition version 5 and Copyright (c) 2005, memory map inc. so they are clearly your maps?.
Are you speaking about the HELP > ABOUT menu option? This simply refers to the software version, not the map. The ABOUT button should look like this:

Under the MAP > EDIT MAP PROPERTIES option, you should see (note the OS copyright):

Or, you can go to MAP > MAP LIST, select the map you want to check, and see this below the map list:

Hope that helps.
The copyright box is empty so now I'm confused, what maps have I got I wonder? are you saying these were probably not produced by you but your software has enabled me to draw routes etc etc and upload them to my iphone. Now since the latest upgrade this is not possible because they are not your maps?? Have I understood that correctly.
If this is the case then if I purchase from you this DVD:
"Memory-Map Great Britain OS 1:50,000 2012 Edition"
http://shop.memory-map.co.uk/acatalog/i ... ition.html....will I be able to use that on my PC, draw a route (or import one) then upload it onto my iphone (through itunes if necessary) as I used to do without any further problems or licence requirements etc.
Please bare with me here, this might sound simple but I am not a "techy" and my computer knowledge is very limited. I think the memory map product is excellent but I've lost confidence in the software
