all using the same account as the pc.

Hi U Smmtech

I clicked on the free app and that still came up as unavailable from the UK store. Reading the comments against the paid for app:
"This app now only shows free online maps & charts, and permits you to load maps you already own from your PC. There is no opportunity to buy additional content through the app."

Does this mean:
1. the free iPad app that had originally been promoted as the way to use the CAA aviation maps is not going to be available? (The android one seems to be free)
2. the paid for app isn't expensive, but reading the above comments will it allow me to buy those CAA maps, download them to a pc/mac then transfer them to an iPad and use the software?

Forgive me if the answers to 2 might be obvious, but I'm trying to set up a friend's iPad with the UK aviation maps.

Thanks

The sticky in the top of the iPhone section explains how to get new maps onto the new app. You are correct that the Android app is currently free. Apple will not allow multiple versions of "the same app", and will thus not allow placement of both a free and paid app even if (in our judgement) they provide significantly different features.

I seem to be having similar problems to Dwayne above.
Marine charts previously worked on my iPad. Now they are on the iPad but won't load without an activation. It says Activation rights: None, Needed Now: 1 time.

Back on the PC it says Import Maps Full, no expiration
On the web page it says Tue 1 June 2010 Activated Import Maps

Same login on PC and iPad

Where's the hitch? Why can't I see this activation on the iPAD? What do I need to do?

Steve

What marine charts are you attempting to use?
What resource are you being prompted to activate?

Thanks

I show that you have the Import Maps already activated on two mobile devices. You would need to migrate the license from one of these (WM_Dad1 or Dad's iPhone) to the new device or purchase an additional license.

OK! Thanks. I'm (slowly) beginning to understand this complex set of rights!
