Well, you can do that, too. The method for copying the lat, long from Google maps is a bit convoluted, but it works.
In the Maps app, tap the pin you want to copy, and tap the blue Info button. Then "Share". It creates an email with a Contact VCF file and a link to the google maps web page. Send the email to yourself, then open it an tap the link. This opens the map app again, but now the lat-long you want is in the Search control at the top right. Tap-and-hold, Select all, and Copy. Don't worry about selecting the extra stuff after the lat long.
Now the easy part. In Memory-Map, create a mark, edit, tap and hold the Position, Select All, Paste. View.
If you have any of the Lat-Long formats selected in Memory-Map, it is not fussy about whether you enter decimal degrees, degrees and minutes, or degrees minutes and seconds. It also ignores any extra text at the end of the position you enter.
