Via iTunes I loaded my Hema maps and Topo maps for Australia on to my iPad but when I open the Memory-Map app I am unable to view any of the Hema maps and some of the Topo maps. I followed the instructions at https://w2.memory-map.com/mm-iphone-help.htm for "loading existing maps" but I still can't view the maps. Do I need specific software to run windows based maps on my iPad, according to the requirements on the back of the Hema Map DVD it should work on my iPad, anyone experienced this same problem?

Travelpro,

To be honest you would be better off contacting the Aus/NZ support team, as they have experience with the map data you are having issues with.
You can contact them via support@memory-map.co.nz

Thanks

The HEMA maps load just the same as any other maps, and this forum is the right place for support with the iphone app.

1. Are you running the paid Memory-Map? The free version does not support loading maps from PC.

2. Have you copied the right files? In Windows, right click on the file and select Properties, it should give the type of file as "Memory-Map QuickChart (.qct)". If there is a QC3 file of the same name, you need that, too.

3. After you have copied the files via iTunes, you have to restart the app. Press the home button to close the app, if it is running. Now double-click the home button. It displays all the apps that are running in the background. Find the Memory-Map app (you can scroll sideways). Touch-and-hold the app icon, then touch the minus sign to terminate the app.
