At present I will admit to being more than a little disappointed, before using a Garmin and a PDA I had everything I needed, I had hoped to use the Adventurer as a one stop shop but as it stands its fine for hiking but that about all and even then one would have to either buy the extended battery or be careful of use
I disagree with the idea of no detailed manual because for a lot of us as with all IT equipment one keeps making the same mistakes so a detailed manual would help!
Anyway I have some questions
How do I switch of the proximity alarm WITHOUT either going to settings or closing the visual window to say how far away the mark is
How do I get a position reading on screen without making a mark and reviewing properties ie to set a geocache
When will there be some apps including geocaching data storage and use
Dave

I am not aware of a way to turn off the proximity alarm without doing so in the mark properties.

When you tap the double green arrows (top left) and then tap the left icon in the second row (below the red X), you enable / disable the data window. With this enabled, you should see a box with coordinates when you tap a location on the screen.

I am not aware of any impending apps at this time.
