 Post subject: dead battery?

Have had my ad 2800 for sixteen months everything has been working fine up until this week. Tried to charge it up, the blue charging light comes on for a couple of minutes and then goes off battery doesnt seem to be holding a charge. will not switch on. So frustrated!!
Any advice welcome.
