For no accountable reason my OS Landranger 1:50,000 V5 Discoverer map fragmented and deleted itself while I was using it.
The other maps, OS GB Route Planner and OS 1:250k GB Atlas remain intact and continue to work.

Memory-Map Adventurer 2800, OS Landranger 1:50,000 V5 Discoverer

I have:-
1) Replaced the original SD card with a new 16MB one.
2) Copied all the files across to the new 16MB card (excluding the Landranger file that has vanished).
3) Activated OS GB Route Planner and the OS GB Road atlas successfully.
4) Loaded the OS Landranger 1:50,000 V5 Discoverer successfully.
5) I have attempted countless times to activate the map the result is : Resource: OS Landranger 1:50,000 Status: None. No expiration

Has Memory Map gone down the tubes?

I have sent two emails to Technical support so far without a reply................they show a pretty cavalier respect to loyal customers.

Isn't the 1:50k map locked to the original SD Card ?

Hi,

Yes, I also think that the "bundled" 1:50k map is locked to the original SD card. So I believe your potential options are:

1. Return the original SD card to MM for reloading or replacement (there's a web form to request this). Or:

2. "Cut" the (.QCT) map on your PC/DVD into files of < 400MB and transfer these to the new SD card. Or:

3. Purchase the new 2012 1:50k GB map (DVD) "upgrade" at the discounted price of £60.

Cheers, Alan.
