Hello. can anyone please help me with this problem i'm having with my 2800 unit?

The problem occurs during normal usage.. I can be riding along when all of a sudden the egg timer appears and will then 'hang' (freeze) for usually several minutes.. When the map returns to normal (no good when following a route) the breadcrumb trail of the track/route is edited to have missed the positions... This i can live with, but i don't need to keep stopping to follow the route!!!

It almost seems like the unit isn't processing the route fast enough? Surely this can't be right?

It sounds more like the unit is losing its GPS fix.
Are you riding through areas that the unit could have an obscurred view of the sky, when this happens?
