After a couple of years of success - recent attempts to download route are now not working.

Using the normal procedure (mass storage - save as - user data etc. etc) The new route name appears on the 2800 Overlay open list - but when clicked it does not appear on the map ?

Any suggestions please ?

I had a very similar problem a few weeks ago - the route was saved OK on the A2800, the saved version would display ok on the PC but not on the A2800. I ended up deleting all the saved routes on the A2800 and then it worked again - I never got an explanation though!

Cheers

Ian

How are you saving the route?
If you click on the route on the map and choose "Save as ...", it works.
If you click on the route-name in the left hand panel and choose "Save as ..", it fails.
(Known bug, 2nd method generates a corrupted file).

Thanks guys.

Alan I was saving as you suggested - via clicking on the route itself on the PC map.

Ian, - I've done the same. I had about a dozen or so routes saved and deleted all but a couple of them - (on PC and on 2800) Not an issue, as I tend to amend / re-write routes if I go back to the same place.

Now it works fine.

I wonder whether it was a memory issue - had I fully used the available space ?

Hi all,
Have not managed yet to save a route to the 2800 it brings up an error message saying out of memory.
Tracks no problem i can save any number of those but not a route, any suggestions?
I tried yesterday on a friends brand new 2800 on his pc and it would not work there either.
Is this a fault or just not allowed???
Cheers,
Nick
