When I connect my 2800 to the PC, it constantly looks for pictures. I can keep working whilst it is doing this but I cannot stop it. In order to get out of it, I have to go to task manager in Vista and stop it doing it from there. Any ideas please? Also, I have just noticed that if I delete a route on the 2800 as it says in the manual, it does not delete. But, if I couple it to the pc I can delete things properly from there. Not always convenient to do that so wouldn't mind finding an answer to that too.

This sounds as if you have set Windows to automatically open the pictures folder, via the Windows AutoPlay settings.
You should be able to rectify this by going into your Windows Control Panel > AutoPlay and setting PICTURES to ASK ME EVERY TIME.

In regards to overlay deleting. This is normal. Using the OVERLAY > DELETE option within Memory-Map on the Adventurer only removes the overlay from the map. To delete the overlay file permanently you need to use a PC.
