I'd really like some options on the current position marker.

The standard position icon is a small red circle with a cross and a dot in the middle and a direction line. I find it obscures too much map detail at the current position.

I'd like the option of using a larger circle with a cross-hair, no dot in the middle and the option of disabling the direction line.

You can "disable" the direction line/pointer by setting the "Velocity Vector" (tap/click on the current position) to zero minutes, which will give it zero length.
