I've spent a fortune on memory maps and have used them on my Road Angel GPS. It would be great if I could do the same with the Hero.

It has to happen soon as most phones seem to run on android. I have kept my old phone but it does not now register the GPS and I don’t fancy getting lost while out biking. :(

Yes we need this on Android, and as soon as we do it's a day one purchase for me. I can then ditch my Windows phone and go Android, I was tempted with the iphone but it's too expensive. I know a certain other mapping company are working on an Android version of their software so come on Memory Map beat them to it.

Iam the same, i dont really want an Iphone, and i am keen to get the HTC Desire with Android when it comes out on O2 at the end of the month - as long as i can get MM on it.

Iam about to upgrade my current phone contract, but dont see the point in paying the same price for a windows OS HTC HD2 or failing that getting an Iphone which will be superseeded my a new version this year.

Has anyone at Memory Map read this thread?? Thinking about buying viewranger software, as that's now compatible with android.... But i've got all the maps i want on memory map!!!! Help me out here guys......

Me too. Don't want an i-phone. Ever.

Have a great Andriod phone, with gps, and NEED to run memory map on it.

So still no progress I'm afraid but I am another who would REALLY appreciate MM on Android.

Please add me to the list. I use both Memory Map and a competitor's mapping software on WM (I do this because of the memory restriction on downloading maps on the WM 6.1 OS.) In my view MM is by far the most user friendly product. It's not always easy walking wearing reading glasses so a good clear position marker is a great help. It is now to migrate from my present phone. MM on the Android OS would be most appreciated. Stefan

I've decided to jump ship from WinMo / PPC to Android (getting a Desire tomorrow) after many years (8+), but now for the first time I'm having to keep a WinMo device handy - just for running MM.

We seriously need an Android port of MM. By the end of this year there will be two main smartphone players - iPhone and Android. Window Phone 7 will be so restrictive and won't support MM even if MS do provide a native C++ SDK. So it's just iPhone or Android. And all current WinMo users will have the same decision to make as I just have - keep your old WinMo phone or upgrade - the latter of which means that they will only have one choice if they want to keep their MM maps and thats to go iPhone. Which simply isn't everyone's choice.

So come on MM - it can only be a good business move for you to keep with this change in the mobile market. I'm sure that you would have generated many of your MM user-base from the feature of having a mobile version - it's these users that you'll end up losing if you don't support them.

+100 for an Android port from me.
