I have just got my 2012 disk. I want to just download a portion of the Lake District. But I can only see downloading the whole thing which I do not want to do. How do I just get a designated portion please?

Open the entire map from the disk. Use the route tool to create an enclosed route around the portion you want. Right-click on the route and select OPERATIONS > ENCLOSED AREA > SEND TO MOBILE DEVICE. You can then choose the STORAGE CARD ON PC option and pick a folder on the PC to save the file.

I could not get that to work. I keep getting the message. Encrypted content is not available on target device

Even on my map list, all the 2012 stuff has a red cross against it.

Please recognize that the downloaded 2012 maps and the maps on disc are seen as different maps. Ensure that you are viewing the map that has "complete" in the name as this will be the one from the disc. The downloaded maps are activated by sqkm while the maps on disc are one license for the whole map.

None of my maps state complete. The new maps have a red cross against them. I am out now. By the time i get back i expect you will be closed for xmas

Can you send an email to support@memory-map.com with your user ID (or just use the email you used to create your account)? I can then look at your account. Did you open the map from the disc yet? Is it possible that this map has not been activated yet?

The OS 1:50K 2012 map as supplied on DVD is a single activation map, and as such will not work when split up.
It is designed to be used as a single map file on all devices.
