Is it possible to download maps all at once or just what is viewed on the screen section at a time?
if you zoom out to a larger scale the streetview map isnt on the list?

You can dowload it all in one go if you wish, but at almost 10GB it will take quite some time.

There is no link.
The mapping is downloaded via the Digital Map Shop interface from within the Memory-Map software.

Correct me if I'm wrong!

When using Memory Map European Edition, you can only download what is visible on your screen. also you can not zoom out to greater than 1400sq mtrs.
when you zoom into an area the system then downloads greater detail.

It would it take too long to download (Plus sole destroying) the whole streetview using this method, Also you would not be sure if you had zoomed in and out on the correct locations of the map.

So how is it possible to download the map in one go?

While you are correct about activating an entire map, let me clarify some of the statements. The amount of zoom depends totally on the scale of the map and the resolution of your screen. If you zoom out completely, then select MAP > DIGITAL MAP SHOP > ACTIVATE VISIBLE MAP, the program will download full detail of the map covered on the screen. (This prevents having to zoom in / out and load different sections.)

Hi Jason I downloaded OS Streetview for the South of England using the automatic dowload option. Looks very good. However when re-openning off-line the map is degraded as if very low resolution and needs to be re-downloaded.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

Again, downloading larger maps by automatic download does not mean that the whole map is downloaded. The program downloads what it needs to show you the portion of the map you are viewing. If you are zoomed out, since the screen only shows a certain resolution, the program may only download 1 in 4 pixels to display the view. As you zoom in, it downloads more pixels to increase the detail. The post above yours explains how to get the full detail for a section of the map (other than zooming all the way in and scrolling around the whole map).

Is it not just possible to host the qc3 for the whole of the UK onto your webiste with a link, so that we can just download it please?

Or split into different parts e.g. Regions or OS sheets / grid ref areas?

This would make more sense, than having to do it manual through the memory map software.

The aim of the mapping is to download what you want as and when you need/want it.
It is available to download via Digital Map Shop because that way you can define the exact area you want to download (via drawing a route to enclose an area).
