Can anyone advise me how to load a route(or series of waypoints)onto my etrex 20? I can create the route, send it to my GPS and see it in the memory of the GPS but can't seem to find it to load it up.
If I go to "Where to?"-"Waypoints" or "Tracks" I can't find it.
Do I need to put it in a particular folder on the GPS?

Not sure but I think they are mmo files. I don't convert them at any point so am assuming that this is the case.

AFAIK no Garmin has ever been able to read .MMO files as these are proprietary to Memory Map. With "old" Garmins, MM converted the .MMO data to Garmin's own protocol via the "GPS" tab options.

However, Garmin have now abandoned that protocol, so the correct method to transfer data to most modern GPSs (recent Garmins, the Adventurers, Satmap, etc.) is as a "Removable Drive" using "Save As" with the .GPX file format selected.

That is correct. (Thanks, Alan.) You can also go to OVERLAY > EXPORT ALL and select the GPX format.

To load up my Oregon, it's simply R-click on the route or track, and press Send to GPS.
The gpx file goes automatically into the unit's Garmin > gpx folder.
