Hi, I'm new to this forum, I have been a happy user of Memory Map for many years. I have used it on my PC running XP via my Road Angel Navigator 7000 as I'm a keen discoverer of new walks for my rambling group. My Road Angel batteries generally last for 7 miles but I do 10 - 12 miles walks so I have 2 identical Road Angel devices, when the first one's batteries run out I use the other one. On 18th May my PC crashed and needed a new drive and installation of Windows 7, all fine now except I needed to re-install all my programs and I couldn't find my disk of Memory Map whole of GB 1:50,000 scale maps. So I went along to my local Cotswold Outdoor store and bought Memory Map GB South 1:50,000 scale and installed this on 20th May. It was all working perfectly fine and I sent visible portion of map, that came up on the Road Angel device, next I did the usual 'Mobile Device - Export Data to device' and my newly planned route appeared so off we went and did a walk during which time Memory Map worked perfectly on both the Road Angel devices.
Every time I launched Memory Map on my PC it prompted me to input my serial number and go online to get a product key but when I did that it said 'this version of the software is no longer supported' click download to get the latest version, tried that and it got stuck with an error message, I did contact your technical support and I was sent the link for the latest version which I installed and activated my product key.
Ever since I installed the latest version of Memory Map when I have this open on my PC and plug the Road Angel in, it connects and allows me to send visible portion of map but if I try 'Mobile Device - Export data to device' the Road Angel make a series of 'dong' noises, then shows a message 'Fatal Application Error - Application Memory-Map_CE.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists contact your vendor, Program Memory Map _CE.exe Exception: 0xC00000FD Address: 03FD70E0
The version of Memory Map that I now have on my PC is Memory-Map European Edition Version 5.4.2 Build 1089 whereas the version I have on both the Road Angels is Memory-Map OS Edition 5 version 5.1.4 Build 751.
I'm getting rather desperate because I'm due to lead a new walk with the ramblers in a few weeks and I do not know the walk yet and I have planned to do practice runs of it with some volunteers but I do not feel confident without the wonderful GPS Memory Map system working on my Road Angel, please help,

MM changed the overlay file format (.MMO) between v5.1.3 and v5.4.2. If you can't downgrade your PC software to v5.1.3 you'll need to upgrade the software in the Road Angels to v5.4 from here.
