How do you active a licence

I purchased an Adventurer 2800 and used my laptop to download a 1:25000 map from the digital map shop which I loaded up on the 2800. I then wanted to move the map to my home PC and so migrated the licence and downloaded a file (license-08df6f2a.mmlicinst). When I ran the file it said that it had activated 10 licences but I cannot get the map to activate on the PC.

I also tried to register the laptop as a mobile device so that I could use it as well, but this did not seem to work.

How do I resolve this. All I want is to be able to do is to use the maps on my home PC, a laptop and the Adventurer 2800, but I cannot work out how to do this
