If you have just updated to Win 7, right-click on the MM icon, select PROPERTIES > COMPATIBILITY and choose the WIN XP SP3 option. Does this correct the problem? When you go to HELP > ABOUT, what does it show for the version number?

Ron Heintzelman

Hi John,

That's a rather old version of MM (c. 2005) which I think pre-dates the Oregon and certainly Win 7 64-bit!

The overlay file format has been changed at least twice since then (I think at 5.0.6 and 5.2.x), are you sure you didn't upgrade your 5.0.2 previously?

You may need to upgrade to the latest version 5.4.x (free on the UK downloads page).

Cheers, Alan.

After a lot of messing about I found that mm will work if I save it as a gpx file, then copy paste to the gps and the same from gps to mm, how ever tracklogs works as it should so does quo so what is causing the problem with mm, it is not the cable or the driver, i do think that mm needs to see the gps has a hard drive not as a removable storage, if someknows how to this, then I think mm will work at moment it is not working as it should. running W7 service pack 1
